I need to Rehome a pet.

We CANNOT take them at this time.
Please see our Community Resources pages for alternative options

Why you need to rehome your pet is irrelevent. We are not here to judge anyone, all we care about is the welfare of the animal. We're here to help you responsibly re-home your pet or a homeless pet you have rescued. We will put it up for adoption and find it a new home, with all the information possible to make that a FOREVER home.

We're now accepting local animals in need of rehoming to feature on our petfinder page. We will need to set up an interview to meet you and the animal, take some pictures, and get as much information on the pet as possible. We will then set it up for a vet appointment if necessary, and then feature it on our website. We will also pre-screen applicants for you, based on what YOU want for YOUR pet, then contact you with potential adopter information to set up appointments.

This is and will continue to be a free service until it's no longer possible, but donations are most welcome and will cover the gas and time expense to assist you.

What we need from you:

  • Your full Contact information

  • The Pets's Name & Age (DOB when possible)

  • Pictures!

    • Good with other animals?

    • Good with kids?

    • Medications/Special needs?

    • etc.

  • Background Information (Where it's from, as much as you're comftorble with sharing about why it needs to be rehomed.

  • Any personal Items you had that will be coming with it. It's toys, blankets, bed. Anything that belonged to the animal to comfort it during the transition.

All animals listed on our site must be fixed and up to date on vaccinations. Renate's Fosters can not cover ANY veterinarian costs at this time. If it is in need of spay/neuter, basic medical care, or shots, we will make it an appointment with the SANS clinic. You are expected to pay the bill, drop off, and pick up your own animal.

The animals will be adopted with a fee which should recover all or most of that bill. If you need assistance with transportation, arrangements can be made for a $10 fee, to be paid at the 7:30am pick up.

All animals scheduled at SANS must be dropped off at the clinic at 8am. You will arrive, wait in line to be checked in, and leave the animal. All cats must be in a carrier. A Cardboard Carrier can be purchased at the clinic. Dogs must be leashed and muzzled if necessary. If you miss or refuse this appointment, we will no longer assist you.

If you have a pet to rehome, CONTACT US. We'd like to help.
